A quintessential Bellavista: the highest expression of the winery’s style and of the harvest year. Each element decorating the bottle of Bellavista Vintage Brut is meant to epitomize the essence of the Teatro alla Scala. The label includes the most traditional colors and artwork of the theater’s interior, while the box portrays the famous, austere façade as represented in an etching by its architect, Giuseppe Piermarini. The figures seen in the theater’s windows are original sketches by the best scenographers of two of the greatest Premières – Giacomo Puccini’s Turandot and Giuseppe Verdi’s Ernani.
The vintage Brut become the Theatre's wine of honour. Each harvest is dedicated to a new theatre season, every Prima on 7 December is accompanied by a new vintage. From the 2018 - 2019 season, celebrating the Italian music tradition, Bellavista is proud to present its wine of honour in the brut vintage with a special tribute to the origins of the Teatro and its quintessential symbols.
An operatic masterpiece, performed for the first time at La Scala, in 1896. Andrea Chénier is a heroic
melodrama, played against the historical background of the French Revolution, whose pathos and power
exalt freedom of thought as the ultimate creative force, the impetus behind the emergence of a future
that demands recognition.
2012 was a thrilling year if seen and interpreted in its most profound aspects, just like the Opera.
Natural, long-lived and above all, Italian. This is the harmonious blend of Bellavista’s vintage brut.
As at every premiere of La Scala, Bellavista will re-tie the knot with the famous Theater. A lasting bond, nourished by deep respect and the awareness of the honor and responsibility that come with the privilege of being named “partner and official wine”, and thus representing the excellence of Italian enology.
For the first time, a Bellavista Brut, from the “vintage” selection, is offered at the Opening Night of La Scala. The entire “vintage brut” production is indeed dedicated to the famous opera house, and to its Opening Night, which 150 years on from its last appearance in La Scala, featured “Giovanna d’Arco” by Giuseppe Verdi.
With the year 2015, the trilogy of the Bellavista Vittorio Moretti 2004 Limited Edition reached its peak. The creative packaging, focused exclusively on the Opening Night performance of Fidelio, joins the 2013 and 2012 editions in a presentation box destined for the collections of a select connoisseurs.
Bellavista Limited Edition Vittorio Moretti 2004 represents also the year 2013.
The Vittorio Moretti 2004 that we present today is inspired by the 2013 Première, Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata and, in its limited edition, strives to be associated with certain moments that will never be repeated. Just like the year 2004 was for Teatro alla Scala and for Bellavista.
2004. A historic event for the Teatro alla Scala and an unforgettable harvest for Bellavista.
This marked the start of the friendship between Bellavista and Teatro alla Scala. A friendship that has become stronger over time and to which we wanted to dedicate a small collection of wines, only produced from rare harvests, the like of which we won’t see again.
The Bellavista Limited Edition Vittorio Moretti 2004 stems from this promise.
This special cuvée flaunts a bright, light golden colour with green highlights. It has a white, exuberant mousse and its beading is tiny, close-knit and long lasting. It has a multitude of scents, dominated by floral notes of hawthorn, Artemisia and dried bay leaves. In your mouth, an exceptional aristocratic elegance magnifies a very long undertaste of fruit preserves and incense.
